Hello Charlotte, North Carolina! Meg Flint Has a New Home
Yup, you read that right. My blog, Meg Flint, and I are now located in Charlotte, North Carolina. After living in Maryland for 34 years of my life, our family moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in September of 2022. My husband gets a job with his dream company, and I get to continue my blogging journey in an exciting new city!
Taking That Chance in Charlotte, North Carolina
When I started my first blog, “Eastern Shore Eating,” back in March of 2022 I knew I was taking a chance. I was taking a chance on myself more than anything. Beginning a blog is always risky. There’s a lot of time that goes into it, a lot of learning, a lot of research, and a lot of love. I told my husband from the beginning that it was likely I wouldn’t have any income from it, and if I did it would take a minimum of six months. If anything, Eastern Shore Eating would become an outlet and a way to build my resume. And it did just that.
My husband has been very supportive, listening to me talk about insights, content, and hearing about all of the amazing food I’ve been eating. But in the summer of 2022 it wass my turn to take a chance on him.
When he first decided to apply to his dream job, he knew it could potentially relocate our family. I was on board 100%. I told him that if that’s what he wanted to do, then we’ll do it. And we did it! He got the job, and we moved to Charlotte, North Carolina in September of 2022.
The Future is a Bright One
So many great things have happened for myself and my blog since moving to Charlotte. When I first created “Eastern Shore Eating,” I didn’t think I’d be killing it six months later. As sad as I am to put that journey to rest, I am even more excited to be creating for Meg Flint. Meg-Flint.com has given me a new voice and new purpose as a writer.
Maryland and Delmarva will always be part of who I am. As they say…you can take the girl out of Maryland, but you can’t take Maryland out of the girl!
As much as I’ll miss Maryland, I’m very excited to share my new adventure with you. It has been such an eye-opening experience to learn who I am as a mother, wife and woman in a new city and new state. And even though my surroundings have changed, you will still get the same Meg, same writing, same passion for sharing things with you.
