Saturday Morning Sip N’ Share: Fall
Happy Saturday, and happy Fall! I don’t know about you guys, but I am so happy that Fall is finally here. When someone asks me what my favorite season is I usually say, “Winter, Fall and Spring.” So pretty much any season that isn’t Summer, haha! I seriously can’t stand the heat. I’m also not a fan of Summer clothes. So when Fall finally arrives and I can put the Summer behind me, I start to feel like a totally different person.
For this Saturday morning’s sip n’ share I’m going to talk about Fall and what it means to me. I also have some big goals and dreams for the Fall. Are you ready? If this is your first sip n’ share, welcome! What I’m about to say is what I say for every sip n’ share. Got your coffee (or whatever you’re drinking right now)? Great! Get in that cozy spot and let’s chat!
What Fall Means to Me

Fall has so much meaning for me personally. It’s the time of the year when the temperatures change in addition to the color of the leaves. There is a certain cozy feeling that comes over me when I know that Autumn is here. I’m ready to bust out the hoodies and the fuzzy blankets. My feet immediately start to get cold way too easily, and I need socks to keep them warm almost all day long (raise your hand if this sounds like you!). Cuddles with the girls and my husband become almost necessary as we start to wind down for the colder months. Overall it is a great time of the year.
Fall also means lots of seasonal activities and traditions. While everything in me wants to slow down, the world around our family goes full-force into the holidays. School and Girls Scouts are already sending out fundraiser information. We’re busy 3 out of 5 weekday nights with afterschool activities and appointments. It is a crazy time of the year!
But I love it. Everything about Autumn is comfortable to me, even if it means that I need to write things down 24/7 for the fear of forgetting them. But guess what? Fall is more than this to me, too.
Bring on the Comfort Food

Did anyone else find themselves wanting soup and crockpot meals over the last few weeks? As cooler temps start to creep in I am like, “Yeah! Time for comfort food!.” I’ve already pulled out the crockpot once this week. And white chicken chili is on the menu for this weekend. Yum!
Pumpkin has been all over the news for like a month now. Believe it or not, Autumn does not really equal pumpkin to me. I think I’ve had one pumpkin spiced latte so far from Scooters, but that’s it. For me, Autumn is all about the cinnamon, the spice cakes and caramel. Anyone else want to go grab a Cinnamon Dolce Latte like right now? I do!
My coffee intake has upped considerably over the last few weeks. It’s heavenly, but it’s horrible for my GERD. It felt blasphemous but I went out and got decaf last week. It’s only slightly better for me….but it’s still coffee! And as someone that drinks coffee for the coffee and not the caffeine, I can handle a decaf drink every now and then.
What I’m Looking Forward to This Season
I have so much to look forward to this Fall season! This girls are thriving in school, although they are already a bit worn out. We have Halloween coming up, and lots of baking to do together. My husband has been travelling a lot over the past 4 months, so we’re looking forward to him being at home more.
But for me personally, I have a lot to look forward to as I continue to grow. Therapy has been huge for me since I started back at the end of August. We’re talking about things that I never really touched on before, and it’s been so eye opening. Professionally I have made some big changes, too. I’ve realized that I need to slow down and narrow my focus instead of trying to expand more. My content commitment now lies strictly with local content, food (mostly coffee-related), motherhood and product reviews/guides. It will help me to not overload my schedule, and it will give you all better content.
But….I also have a huge announcement coming soon! I’m so excited. I’ve been working on this for a while, and to be able to share it with the world will be so exciting. I can’t say anymore for now, but when I can…shew! It’s so exciting.
What Does Fall Mean for You?
So tell me…what does Fall mean for you? Are you excited about anything happening over the next few months? I want to hear all about it!
In the meantime, I hope y’all have the best weekend ever. Stay safe, stay cozy, and drink lots of coffee. I’ll talk to you soon!
Until next time…
-Meg
