Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso

Ingredients
  

Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup

  • 4 small cinnamon sticks
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3.5 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

The Drink

  • 2 shots espresso freshly brewed
  • 4 tbsp homemade brown sugar cinnamon syrup
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup oatmilk

Instructions
 

Brown Sugar Cinnamon Syrup

  • Before you make the drink you need to make the syrup. Start by putting the water, brown sugar, white sugar, 4 small cinnamon sticks and vanilla extract into a medium-sized pot. Stir.
  • Bring the contents of the pot to a boil. Reduce to low to medium heat and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Removed the cinnamon sticks. Let the rest of the contents continue to simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Turn off the stove top. Remove the syrup from heat and let it cool at room temp.
  • Store in an air tight glass container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso

  • First brew your two shots of espresso.
  • In a shaker (or blender bottle if you don't have a shaker) pour one cup of ice. After the espresso is done brewing, add the espresso and the brown sugar cinnamon syrup. Shake until frothy.
  • Pour the espresso, syrup and ice mixture into your glass. Fill with the oatmilk.

  • Top with cinnamon or brown sugar and a straw if desired. Drink right away for best taste. Enjoy!
