Saturday Morning Sip N’ Share: June

By the time you read this June will be over and July will be here. How is it July already?! I feel like June just started and the kids were gearing up for the last day of school. And yet here we are, already almost halfway through the summer.

Today I will use this sip n’ share to look back and reflect on June a bit. Go on and grab that drink of yours. Did you get comfy yet? Great! Let’s get to talking.

June went by fast.

For me and my family, June was a month full of big changes and decisions. During this month our girls finished Kindergarten and 2nd grade. I truly cannot believe that we will have a 1st and 3rd grader next year! They always say that time goes by so fast once you have kids, and they are 100 percent right. I feel like each year goes by faster, each month a bit quicker than the one before it.

Speaking of time flying by, we’ve already lived in North Carolina for 9 months. We will reach our 1 year moving anniversary in September. During this month of June we had to make the decision: buy quickly or wait a bit longer? It about killed my husband, but we decided to go ahead and renew our lease. He hates renting, and while I’m not a fan of it either, I’m also not in a hurry to jump straight into yet another new-to-us home. We’ve already moved twice in the past three years…I think I’m okay with waiting a little bit longer to move again.

And while we’re talking about North Carolina…we are officially official! As of June 30th our licenses and plates have been officially transferred over. I thought I’d be a bit more sad to leave Maryland behind, but I’m actually kind of excited instead.

I know the theme this week is “sip n’ share: June” but let’s talk about July a bit. July is an exciting month this year. We’ve got a trip to Florida coming up soon. Prime Day is in a little over a week (who else is excited?!). Charlotte Mom is hosting some of their very first events, and they’re going to be pretty fun ones (go check them out on their website and their socials!). There are several other reasons that I’m excited for July, but those are some of the biggest reasons.

So why are we going to Florida? For those of you that don’t know me personally, I am the oldest of three girls. Both of my two younger sisters live in the South. My first younger sister moved to Florida when her husband, a then-Marine, was stationed in Pensacola. My youngest sister moved to Louisiana when her husband, currently in the Air Force, was stationed near Shreveport. We don’t get to see each other often. But this year we get see both of my sisters at the same time in July!

Prime Day…..Prime Day is July 11th & 12th this year. Normally I have fun just scrolling as a shopper. This year, though, I am an Amazon Associate. It’s an exciting opportunity for me to share some great deals with you guys and potentially earn a little commission at the same time. “So what Meg…” you might say. As a stay-at-home Mom and Mom blogger, Prime Day can be a big deal. Part of the reason I started blogging again was to try and turn it into a career. I love writing, and I love connecting with my audience. But I also hope to make blogging a permanent gig so that I can continue to be at home with my kids and still earn an income. So yeah, Prime Day is an exciting big deal for me. I’m excited!

Looking Forward

Are you excited about July? Is there anything that you’re looking forward to? I would love to hear about it!

Last week I had a reader reach out to me. We chatted for a bit about life and why she likes reading my content. Moments like those are so important to me. When I say in my blog post that I’d love to hear what you, my readers, have to say…I really mean it! As a blogger, and as someone that truly cares about being kind and helping other people, I love it when my readers reach out. Please, know that you can send me a message at any time! I will respond as soon as I can.

So how can you reach me? You can comment below. It’s not as private, but I do get notifications any time someone comments. Emails are another great way to get up with me. You can email me at anytime at megflint@meg-flint.com. Another great way to contact me is through social media. One way in particular is through Facebook Messenger. Find me on Facebook and give me a follow!
